Create or delete a data source in the GUI
Note:
You need to have the Sources Admin permission assigned to create or delete a data source in the GUI.
In addition, this permission allows you to create a new source when you create a new dataset.
When you create a source in the GUI, an empty source with defined properties is set up. Then, you can upload data to it via the API. For more details, check the API docs.
Alternatively, you can create a source via the API. This method may be more suitable for non-technical users to define their source properties before a technical user uploads the data.
- Navigate to the Sources page in the Admin console.
- Select the New source button.
- Fill in the required source properties, which include:
- Source project
- Source name
- Source title
- Source description
- Sensitive propertiesNote: Requires the View sensitive data permission to view.
- Language
- TranslationNote: Requires the Create translated sources permission.
- Select Create source.
