Description

Add a new item to a specified SharePoint List.

Note: The Microsoft Graph API does not support add or update operations on some field types, such as hyperlink and picture.

This activity requires the following scopes:

  • Sites.ReadWrite.All

Configuration

  • Microsoft OneDrive & SharePoint connection - The connection for the Microsoft 365 account to use in the activity.
  • SharePoint list - Browse through SharePoint sites you follow and choose the SharePoint list to use for this activity. Click the Folder icon to browse available lists or use the See more button menu to switch to Enter Url input mode.

    • List Name or ID - Enter the name or ID of the list. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
    • Site Url - Enter the Url of the site. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
    • Data row - The data in a DataRow that will be written in the list. This field supports DataRow type input.
    • Select the Reload SharePoint List Picker option if you've updated your lists and need to retrieve the latest data.

    • Select the Update List Columns option if you've modified your lists and need to retrieve the latest data.

  • Title - The title of the SharePoint list item.
Manage List Columns - Use this option to select additional fields for the current object.

Select the Reload SharePoint List Picker option if you've updated your lists and need to retrieve the latest data.

Note: The SharePoint List activities use Column Names, but the Studio user interface exposes the columns' Display Names.
Note: Be aware that, behind the scenes, SharePoint lists have three Title columns, two of which are hidden from the UI. This means that when you change the display name of the Title column, you may inadvertently rename the wrong column.
Output
  • SharePoint List item - The added item, with all the columns of the list, stored in a DataRow variable. Automatically generated output variable. You can use it as it is or save it with a different name. You can use this in other activities.
Note:

Batching API calls is supported for this activity when used inside: For Each List Item, For Each Row in Workbook.
