Control
The nodes in the Control category of the Add node panel: branch, repeat, merge, and end the paths of a workflow.
The Control category of the Add node panel holds the nodes that decide which path a run takes, repeat steps, and end paths or the whole run.
- Mock: a placeholder that does nothing, while you sketch a workflow.
- Decision: branches on a condition with two outcomes.
- Switch: branches on a condition with three or more outcomes.
- Loop: repeats nodes once for each item of a list.
- Merge: waits for parallel branches, then continues.
- End: ends a branch of the workflow.
- Terminate: ends the whole run.
Next steps
- Control flow: how branches, loops, and parallel paths work.
- Node reference: all the categories of the Add node panel.
