Maestro user guide
What is Maestro?
UiPath Maestro™ is a cloud-native orchestration platform that unifies automation, AI agents, and human interactions into streamlined, end-to-end business processes.
It allows organizations to model and orchestrate work using two complementary approaches: BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) for structured, sequential workflows, and Case Management for long-running, exception-heavy work that cannot be fully defined upfront. Both approaches share the same UiPath platform services and can work together—a case can invoke a BPMN process as one of its task types. To choose between the two approaches, see When to use BPMN Process vs. Case Management.
Maestro also supports defining business rules with DMN (Decision Model and Notation), and coordinates multiple actors—including RPA bots, AI tools, and people—within a single process.
This approach replaces disconnected automation tasks with intelligent, governed workflows that are easier to manage, adapt, and scale.
Enterprise capabilities
Designed for enterprise use, Maestro offers real-time monitoring, centralized control, and built-in compliance tools, making it ideal for complex, long-running workflows. It supports live instance supervision (pause, resume, retry), detailed analytics, and continuous optimization through process mining. By providing a single platform to orchestrate agentic workflows, Maestro helps organizations improve operational efficiency, reduce manual work, and accelerate digital transformation.

Maestro serves as a mechanism to enhance the performance of your automated workforce and systems. It combines process data with task and automation-level data to better understand your processes.
