Overview
Maestro Orchestrate capabilities for orchestrating AI agents, robots, and people on the Case, Flow, and BPMN canvases.
What is Maestro Orchestrate?
UiPath Maestro Orchestrate™ is a cloud-native orchestration platform that orchestrates AI agents, robots, and people across end-to-end business processes.
Maestro Orchestrate offers three canvases:
- Case for long-running, exception-heavy work that cannot be fully defined upfront.
- Flow for developer-first structured and sequential workflows.
- BPMN for standards-based structured process diagrams, using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) 2.0.
Case, Flow, and BPMN run on the same Maestro Orchestrate engine and share the same UiPath platform services. They can also work together, so a case can invoke a BPMN process as one of its task types. Choosing a canvas walks through which canvas fits a given scenario.
For short-running automation, where AI agents and APIs work together and each run finishes within 24 hours, use Maestro Automate. Maestro Orchestrate or Maestro Automate? compares the two.
Maestro Orchestrate also supports defining business rules with Decision Model and Notation (DMN), and coordinates multiple actors—including RPA bots, AI tools, and people—within a single process.
This approach replaces disconnected automation tasks with intelligent, governed workflows that are easier to manage, adapt, and scale.
Enterprise capabilities
Designed for enterprise use, Maestro Orchestrate supports complex, long-running workflows with:
- Real-time monitoring and centralized control
- Live instance supervision, including pause, resume, and retry
- Detailed analytics and continuous optimization through process mining
- Built-in compliance tools for governed orchestration
By providing a single platform to orchestrate agentic workflows, Maestro Orchestrate helps organizations improve operational efficiency, reduce manual work, and accelerate digital transformation.

Maestro Orchestrate serves as a mechanism to enhance the performance of your automated workforce and systems. It combines process data with task and automation-level data to better understand your processes.
