Solution backstage

Solution backstage in Studio Web, a single dashboard for a solution's status, deployments, collaborators, and details, with a link to the designer.

The solution backstage is a dedicated overview page for a solution in Studio Web. It brings the solution's deployments, collaborators, and details together on one screen, so you can review and manage the solution without leaving its context.

Why it matters

Working with a solution's deployments, access, and details previously meant moving between separate places in Studio Web. The backstage brings this together into one focused dashboard, so you can review and manage a solution end to end from a single screen. This reduces navigation and keeps the experience consistent with the rest of Studio Web.

How to get there

From the Cloud Workspace page, select the docs image See more button next to the solution and choose Manage deployments.

What you can do

The backstage brings together the following:

  • Solution status — Shows the solution's name and current status at the top of the page.
  • Deployments and versions — Lists the solution's deployments and versions, with the deployment workflow available from the same page. For details, see Managing deployments.
  • Collaborators — Shows who owns and has access to the solution, and lets you share it with others. For details, see Collaborators.
  • Properties — Opens the Edit solution dialog, where you can update the solution's name and description.
  • Open — Opens the solution in the Studio Web designer to continue building.
  • New deployment — Starts a new deployment of the solution's published package.
  • More actions (⋯) — Provides Duplicate, Pin, Download solution, and Delete for the solution.

Collaborators

The Collaborators panel on the right of the backstage lists everyone with access to the solution, each with a role label — owner for the person who created the solution, and editor for the people it has been shared with. When a solution is shared with Everyone, it is available to all users in the tenant.

The Manage access button opens the sharing dialog, where collaborators are added by name or email and existing collaborators are removed with the remove icon. Sharing a solution shares only the automation: private information such as connections is not shared, and anyone with access to the solution can re-share it. For the steps, see Share a solution.

Before you publish

If the solution has no published version yet, the backstage shows a No deployments yet message with an Open in designer button. Opening the solution in the designer lets you build and publish it before deployments and versions appear here.
