Maestro user guide
Maestro homepage
The Maestro homepage consists of several sections, each providing unique functionalities and insights.
- Home: The Maestro homepage.
- Process instances: Navigate to the process instance runs. Find here your top processes by instances, by duration, and a graphic for the Process Instance Status, as well as a list with your processes.
- Process incidents: Navigate to the process incidents page to find a graphic representation of your incidents over time, your Top 10 processes with failures, and your Top 10 failed elements.
The top banner contains the start modeling button, where you can start creating your process model with UiPath Studio Web, using BPMN 2.0 constructs. You can also access an introductory video about UiPath Maestro™.
View the most recent projects you created in Studio Web. You can also see all projects by selecting the View all projects link.
- Invoice processing
An agentic process built with Maestro, modeled using BPMN to automate the end-to-end invoice lifecycle. The process starts with the ingestion of an invoice via email or system integration. It then uses Document Understanding to extract invoice data and validate it against purchase orders or vendor records. Business rules and agents handle exception management, such as missing PO numbers or duplicate invoices. The workflow routes invoices for approval based on configured thresholds and finally posts them to the ERP system. Manual approvals are supported through integration with UiPath Actions.
- Loan processing
An agentic process built with Maestro, modeled using BPMN to streamline the evaluation, approval, and disbursement of loan applications. The process captures applicant data through a conversational agent or form input, validates eligibility criteria (such as credit score and income), and invokes decisioning services or human review based on risk thresholds. Parallel tracks manage document collection and KYC (Know Your Customer) checks. Approved applications are routed to a disbursement system or integrated backend for fund release. The process supports long-running tasks and escalations via Actions and event-based waits.
- Supplier onboarding
An agentic process built with Maestro, modeled using BPMN to coordinate the registration, verification, and integration of new suppliers into enterprise systems. The workflow initiates upon supplier registration through a web portal or integration. It validates business information against external databases (e.g., tax ID verification), collects compliance documents, and performs risk assessments. Agents orchestrate handoffs between verification services, human approvers, and the ERP integration layer. Once approved, the supplier is created in the master data system, and confirmation is sent back to the requester. The process is designed to be extensible, supporting country-specific rules or industry-specific onboarding requirements.
