Import BPMN diagram
Process diagram files created in BPMN file format can be opened in Task Capture in multiple ways as follows:
- From the Home Page, select Open from PC, on the left side menu.
- In the new window, select a BPMN File (.bpmn).
- Select Open.
- From the Home Page, select New Document.
-
Go to File menu and select Import BPMN diagram option.
When a Build diagram or capture process is already in progress, you can import a BPMN file by going to File menu > Import > BPMN diagram option.
A new project will be created for the selected BPMN file and you will be prompted to choose if you wish to save the changes of the current project.
Regardless of the opening method, a notification on the bottom-right side indicates the status of the opening file. This can be:
-
Successful - it shows up if Task Capture mapped the diagram elements without issues.
-
Error - it shows up if the diagram after mapping to Task Capture was empty.
