Document Understanding™ configuration checklist
After you install and enable Document Understanding™ modern projects on your Automation Suite environment, make sure to check the list present in this guide that evaluates if Document Understanding is working properly.
- Activate the license
- Enable Document Understanding on the tenant
- Create a project in Document Understanding
- Upload documents
- Classify and annotate your documents
- Check that training is running
- Check the performance of your project and models
- Create and publish a project version
- Monitor your automations
Sign in to Automation Suite, then go to Admin > Licenses and input your license key. For more information on how to access Automation Suite, check the Accessing Automation Suite page.
Upon successful activation, under Consumables, AI Units quantity should not be 0.
Go to
and enable Document Understanding on your tenant.For more information, check the Tenants and services page from the Automation Suite Admin Guide.
Select Document Understanding from the menu on the left side and create a new project.

Upload documents in your new project.

Classify your uploaded documents and annotate them.

After annotating your documents, check that a training progress indicator is displayed.

Check the overall performance of your projects and your classification and extraction score.

Create a project version and publish it. Deploy the project version and use it in an automation.
