Migrating to the new RBAC experience

Beginning in the week of February 24, 2025, existing Communications Mining tenants will be migrated to the new role-based access control (RBAC) experience. RBAC is integrated with Automation Cloud through the AuthZ authorization system, and allows administrators to provision roles to Automation Cloud groups as well as users.

To facilitate the migration, granular permissions for Communications Mining have been migrated as temporary legacy roles. These will be deprecated in the future, when custom roles are supported. However, make sure that no users experience any changes to their underlying permissions during the migration.

An interactive walkthrough guide will assist you on your first visit to the Manage Access page.

For more details on the RBAC changes, check the Role-based access control (RBAC) page.

Bug fixes

The General Field Validation page listed fields based on their field type rather than their actual field name.

Improvements

We now display in the user interface a warning message that if you select All time in the Time filters section, this may lead to syncing more data than expected, and messages are charged on upload.

What's fixed

  • The label you selected to merge into another label did not appear in the input cell before you confirmed the merge action.
  • You could not remove labels with long names on messages in clusters because they were not ellipsized.
