Step 1: Configuring user machine

Each user machine where you create test cases through Studio must be configured as described in this topic.
If you upgrade Studio from 2020.10 to newer versions, you need to specify the SAP Connector IP. For more information, see Install SAP Solution Manager Plugin in Studio.

The SAP Solution Manager plugin in Studio enables communication between Studio and your SAP Solution Manager instance during test case creation.

Select OK to confirm and start the SAP Solution Manager plugin installation. You need to install the plugin with administrator rights to allow the UiPath® SAP Solution Manager Service registration on your machine.

The SAP Solution Manager plugin is installed in Studio and configured with the IP address of your SAP Solution Manager instance.

A security rule in SAP GUI allows SAP Solution Manager to call Studio during test case creation.

In the SAP Logon window, open the menu and navigate to Options.

Configure the rule properties as shown in the following screenshot. Ensure you enter the exact object name (for example, UiPath.SAP.SolutionManager).

Select OK to confirm and add the new rule to the list.

The security rule is added to the SAP GUI security list. The user machine is configured with the SAP Connector, the SAP Solution Manager plugin, and the required security rule, and it is ready for creating SAP test cases through Studio.
