Managing MCP Servers
linkCreating MCP Servers
linkYou can choose between the following MCP Server types:
- UiPath: Expose UiPath artifacts as tools via MCP.
- Coded: Host a custom-coded MCP Server.
- Command: Bring an MCP Server from an external package feed via a command.
- Remote: Proxy requests to a remote MCP Server.
Note: Once an MCP Server is created, you cannot change the MCP Server
type.
Creating UiPath MCP Servers

In the MCP Servers page, select Add MCP Server.
The Add MCP Server window is displayed.
- From the top of the page, select the UiPath type.
- In the Name field, enter a name for the MCP Server.
- In the Preview URL, enter a name to preview the full URL.
- Add a Description of the MCP Server.

Select Add Tool to choose the required tool.
Tip: Tools can include UiPath artifacts such as RPA workflows, agents, API workflows, and agentic processes.

Select the required tool from the list. If needed, add multiple tools.
You can check more information on each tool from the Tools table:
- Name: The name of the UiPath artifact.
- Description: The description of the UiPath artifact.

Select Add.
The MCP Server is created and displayed on the MCP Servers page.
Creating coded MCP Servers

In the MCP Servers page, select Add MCP Server.
The Add MCP Server window is displayed.
- From the top of the page, select the Coded type.
- In the Name field, enter a name for the MCP Server.
- In the Preview URL, enter a name to preview the full URL.
- Add a Description of the MCP Server.

Choose a process from the Process drop-down list.
Tip: You can also create a new process if you select the Plus icon next to the Process drop-down list. This opens the Add process wizard so you can create a new process. For more information, check the Managing Processes

Select Add.
The MCP Server is created and displayed on the MCP Servers page.
Creating command MCP Servers

In the MCP Servers page, select Add MCP Server.
The Add MCP Server window is displayed.
- From the top of the page, select the Command type.
- In the Name field, enter a name for the MCP Server.
- In the Preview URL, enter a name to preview the full URL.
- Add a Description of the MCP Server.
- Add the Command for the external MCP Server.
- Add the Arguments for the external MCP Server.
- Add the Environment Configuration for the MCP Server.

Select Add.
The MCP Server is created and displayed on the MCP Servers page.
Create a remote MCP Server

In the MCP Servers page, select Add MCP Server.
The Add MCP Server window is displayed.
- From the top of the page, select the Command type.
- In the Name field, enter a name for the MCP Server.
- In the Preview URL, enter a name to preview the full URL.
- Add a Description of the MCP Server.
- Add the Remote URL for the remotely deployed MCP Server.
- Add the Headers for the MCP Server.

Select Add.
The MCP Server is created and displayed on the MCP Servers page.
Editing MCP Servers
link- On the MCP Servers page, select an MCP Server, then navigate to More Actions and select Edit.

Edit the MCP Server as per your requirements.
You cannot change the type of an MCP Server once created.
- Select Update.
Deleting MCP Servers
link- On the MCP Servers page, select an MCP Server.
- Navigate to More Actions.
- Select Remove
