Update on the deprecation plan for Legacy Apps

As previously announced, support for Legacy Apps, the previous generation of Apps, which used the Legacy (non-VB) expression language in Automation Cloud, will be gradually removed over the next months. We highly recommend that you use the VB migration tool to facilitate the migration of Legacy Apps.

In line with the phased deprecation plan, starting with January we are disabling the creation of new Legacy apps in Apps Studio as of today.

You can still edit, clone, and import Legacy Apps until December 2024. Final end-of-support for Legacy Apps and their runtime will take place in June 2025.

We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.

Improvements

  • We made a number of accessibility fixes across Apps, as part of WCAG compliance.

  • You can now customize page titles in the designer panel using the new Page title field. Each page in an app can now have its own unique title.
