Installing UiPath Test Manager for Jira

  1. Open your Jira instance in your browser.
  2. Log in as an administrator.
  3. Click Manage Apps from the administration menu.
  4. Under Find new Apps search for UiPath.
  5. Select UiPath Test Manager for Jira.
  6. Click Install. The latest version of UiPath Test Manager for Jira is installed.

Preparing a Test Manager Project for Integration With Jira

Follow the steps below to connect a Jira project with a project from Test Manager:

  1. Log in as an admin user.
  2. Click the app symbol in the upper left corner to open the application menu.
  3. In the Administration section, click the Project Settings option. The Projects page is displayed.
  4. Select the testing project you want to connect to a Jira project. The details for that project are displayed on a separate page.
  5. Click New Connection > Jira. The Edit connection window is displayed.


  6. Fill out the form by providing the following data:
    • Name - A name for this connection
    • An optional description
    • Server URL - The URL of the server which exposes the Jira REST API. This is usually identical to the URL you navigate to when using Jira through your browser.
    • Web URL - Optional. Just in case the Jira REST API is not hosted under the same URL like the web UI, enter the URL of the Jira REST API here.
    • Jira Credentials - Used to authenticate to the Jira API. All created objects will have this identity as the creator assigned.
    • Defect Type - Specify the Jira object-type to be used for defects (usually Bug). Select None to disable defect integration for this connection.
    • Project Key - Enter the project key from Jira which refers to the project you want to integrate.
  7. Click Save to finish. You are returned to the project details page.
  8. Expand the panel which holds the connection details.
  9. Copy the API Key to the Clipboard for later use.

Configuring Your Jira Project

  1. Open Jira and navigate to the project you want to integrate.
  2. Switch to the project settings.
  3. Scroll down and select UiPath Test Manager which opens the Test Manager configuration page.


  4. Select all Jira issue types which should be synchronized as Requirements to Test Manager.
  5. Paste the API Key you copied at step 9 from the previous procedure.
  6. Enter the Server URL from Test Manager.
  7. Click Save.
