Troubleshooting Autopilot for Testers

This page lists common error messages, their causes, and how you can fix or work around them.

Test generation failed

  • When the error occurs: When you try to generate or import tests, evaluate requirements, or find obsolete test cases.
  • Cause: Autopilot does not detect a specific error, but it also does not return results. Multiple factors can cause this
  • Solution: Select Retry to run the action again.

Token limit exceeded

  • When the error occurs: You see a token limit error using Autopilot to generate or import tests, evaluate requirements, or find obsolete test cases.
  • Cause: The response exceeds the token limit for the selected AI model.
  • Solution: Close the side panel and try again using shorter instructions or less context.

Request limit exceeded

  • When it happens: Autopilot shows that the request limit was exceeded because of too many images used as context.
  • Cause: Your request includes more images than the selected AI model supports.

For example, GPT-4o (Azure OpenAI) supports up to 50 images.

  • Solution: Close the side panel and retry the action with fewer images.

No context

  • When it happens: You trigger an Autopilot action without providing a description or context.
  • Cause: Autopilot cannot proceed without input such as prompt, description, or supporting document.
  • Solution: Add a meaningful description or attach relevant documents to use as context.

Search operation timeout

  • When it happens: Using the Searching with Autopilot capability results in a timeout error.
  • Cause: The search is not allowed or returns no results.
  • Solution: Try a simpler or shorter search query.

No items found for your search

  • When it happens: Searching with Autopilot return no results.
  • Cause: The search query does not match any items or is not allowed.
  • Solution: Try a different search query.

Usage cap reached

  • When it happens: You got a message that you have reached your Autopilot usage limit.
  • Cause: You have used all your available Autopilot actions.
  • Solution: Wait for your actions to refresh, or request more Autopilot actions for your organization.
