Agents user guide

Limitations

Here are the current limitations of Agents in Automation CloudTM. These may evolve as the product matures.

Agents in Studio Web

  • When creating a solution that includes an agent project, you cannot add or import any other project to the solution.

Tools and activity support

  • Process compatibility: Not all process types can be used as tools within Agents. For specific details, refer to the Processes section.
  • Studio Web activities: Only a subset of Integration Service activities is directly available in Agents. For additional functionality, you can build processes using Studio Web or Studio, then publish and use them as tools in your agent.

Escalations

  • Escalations are currently limited to action apps, which generate Action Center tasks.
  • Escalations can only be directed to individual users, not user groups.

Language availability

  • Non-English characters, such as Japanese or Chinese, may cause issues in agent actions, such as function calling. We recommend building and training your agent in English. Support for additional languages depends on improvements in underlying LLMs.

Other limitations

The following features are not currently supported, but they are planned for future iterations of Agents:

  • Versioning: Improved Agent component versioning.
  • Permissions: Fine-grained, role-based access control at the agent level beyond what is already supported through Studio Web Solutions RBAC.
  • AI Trust Layer: Extensive configuration options for the AI Trust Layer, such as setting restrictions by tool type or action context.
