Exporting and importing process apps
You must have Edit permission for the app to export or import a process app.
Exporting a process app
You can export your process apps from the Process Mining portal. This enables you to share process apps across tenants or environments. The process app is exported to an encypted .pmapp file containing all the dashboards and transformations.
Follow these steps to export a process app.
- Open the Process Mining portal.
- Go to the Development tab and locate the app that you want to export.
- Select the menu icon in the actions column of the process app that you want to export.
- Select the Export app option from the menu.
The process app is exported and a .pmapp file is downloaded onto your computer.
The exported .pmapp archive is encrypted and cannot be used outside Process Mining. The contents can only be visualized or changed in Process Mining Automation CloudTM.
Importing a process app
Follow these steps to import a process app.
- In the Process Mining portal, select Import app. The Create New App Wizard is started, displaying the Import app step.
- Drag and drop the
.pmappfile for the process app onto the Add files here field, or use the
button to select the .pmappfile from your computer.
When you import a process app a new process app is created and you must upload data before you can publish the process app. Refer to Creating apps for a detailed description of the steps.
You can only import a Process Mining process app that was exported from Process Mining Automation CloudTM Importing a process app that was exported from a different product deployment is not supported.
