Use of customer data with Studio and StudioX

Purposes

We process the information used with our services for the following purposes:

  • Provide our services
  • Develop new services

Provide our services

We process workflows or projects, logs, and debugging information for service provisioning, as stated in the guidance available in the Studio User Guide and the StudioX User Guide.

We process telemetry data such as usage data to make sure that our platforms operates smoothly and to optimize the user experience based on the feedback and usage patterns we observe. We use data analytics to measure and evaluate the performance of our services.

We process account information such as cloud user IDs in order to provide you with access to the services and to secure your account.

We may process data that you send to us for support or as necessary for troubleshooting issues, in accordance with our Support terms.

Develop new services

We may use anonymized or masked data regarding workflows and automations to improve our products and develop new platform features and functionalities, as allowed by our agreements.

Data storage

Data is stored locally when using Studio and StudioX.

Integration with generative AI services

Studio and StudioX have some features which rely on integrations with third party generative AI services. All such integrations are configured by the customer and go through the UiPath Trust Layer. This component ensures that all integrations comply with the same high level of security and compliance, and that no data is persisted by any third parties for any reason. You can configure the use of AI features by setting up such policies through the AI Trust Layer, as explained in the Automation Ops User Guide.

Safeguards

We employ the following safeguards in achieving the purposes described above:
  • Anonymization of workflow-related data for the purpose of debugging and improving product features and functionalities.
  • Customer data is deleted at contract termination or upon request.
  • Customer data is encrypted. Access is strictly limited, and any access is logged and audited.
  • The customer can delete, modify, or export design time data. The customer can request purging of runtime data.

The opt-out mechanism

Customers can opt-out of processing anonymised workflow data for the purpose of improving product functionality by:
  • Filling a Support ticket requesting an opt-out.
  • Ensuring that the contractual agreements reflect the customer’s choice regarding the processing of anonymised workflow data.
