Integration Service user guide
Prerequisites
To create a connection, you need the following credentials:
- Client ID
- Client secret
The connector uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. To learn how to retrieve credentials, refer to the Intercom Setting up OAuth documentation.
When registering your OAuth application in Intercom, make sure to set the callback URL to the value displayed on the connection creation page, for example https://cloud.uipath.com/provisioning_/callback for Automation Cloud.
Add the Intercom connection
-
Select Orchestrator from the product launcher.
-
Select a folder, and then navigate to the Connections tab.
-
Select Add connection.
-
To open the connection creation page, select the connector from the list. You can use the search bar to find the connector.
-
Enter the required credentials and select Connect.
For any secret-type field, you can select the menu next to the field and choose Use credential asset to reference an Orchestrator credential asset linked to an external vault instead of entering the value directly. For more information, see Use credential assets for connections.
-
Next, you'll be prompted to log in to your Intercom account using your email and password.
-
After login, you must grant the Intercom connector access to your Intercom data. Refer to the Permissions section for details.
Permissions
The connector requires the following permissions:
- People - View and manage users and leads
- Companies - View and manage companies
- Conversations - View and update Inbox conversations
- Messages - View messages, campaigns and message insights
- Teams and teammates - View teams and teammates and set away status
- Intercom app capabilities - Access and receive data in Intercom apps
- Tags - View and manage people, company and conversation tags
- People activity - View and create people activity and events
- Workspace counts - View numerical counts of your workspace data
- Data attributes - Manage your customer and company attributes
- Tickets - View Manage tickets
- AI Content - View Manage AI Content.
