Improvements

  • The capabilities of evaluating requirements and generating tests using requirements, offered by AutopilotTM for Testers, have been moved under the Optimize coverage option. You can find the Optimize coverage option in the Requirements section of your test project, when opening a requirement.
  • The former Test insights report is now called Report. Visit Generate test report to check out the updated steps for generating a report based on your test executions.

What's new

Orchestrator-to-Test Manager migration tool

We have achieved feature parity between Test Manager and the Orchestrator Testing tab. This advancement allows us to introduce a dedicated migration tool to seamlessly transfer your test artefacts from Orchestrator to Test Manager. The migration tool allows you to import test sets from any Orchestrator folder you can access.

Importing Orchestrator test sets into Test Manager preserves the following test set data:
  • Name
  • Description
  • Activity coverage
  • Test case assignment (maintained as static assignments)
  • Arguments and their default values (converted into test case parameters)
  • Execution folder
  • Test case versions
  • The mapped Robot or User account
  • Test results
  • Test set schedules
  • Attachments

For information on importing your Orchestrator test sets, visit Importing Orchestrator test sets.

Continuous support for native connectors

We have re-activated some of the previously deprecated native connectors, in an effort to provide an easy solution for simple integration scenarios. The native connectors which are now available again are:
  • Azure DevOps
  • Jira Data Center
  • Jira Cloud
  • XRay
  • XRay Cloud
ServiceNow and qTest native connectors are still deprecated, meaning that you cannot create new connections for them.
Important: Native integrations only cover simple integration scenarios. Consider using Test Manager Connect depending on your integration requirements. Migrating a native integration to Test Manager Connect may require more complexity than integrating directly using Test Manager Connect.

To stay up to date with other deprecations or removals, visit the Deprecation timeline.
