Evaluate a requirement's quality in Test Manager using Autopilot, and review, implement, or export the generated suggestions.
Autopilot evaluates a requirement for quality aspects such as clarity, completeness, and consistency, and generates a list of suggestions that you can review and implement directly.
Prerequisites
Your Test Manager role must have Create and Edit permissions for Requirement.
Steps
-
Open a project in Test Manager, and navigate to Requirements.
-
Select More Options for a requirement and choose Optimize coverage.
Note:Alternatively, open the requirement, and then choose Optimize coverage.
-
In the Optimize coverage dialog, select Evaluate quality. The Provide Supporting Documents window opens, prompting you for attachments or other documents necessary for evaluating the requirement.
-
In the Provide Supporting Documents window, select additional attachments to use when evaluating the requirement. You can also upload other files yourself.
-
Select Next and provide additional instructions that Autopilot should use when evaluating the requirement. Choose a prompt from the Prompt library or type these instructions in the Provide Additional Guidance window.
-
Optionally, from the Model dropdown list, select the AI model that Autopilot should use.
-
Select Evaluate quality to initiate the process. When the evaluation finishes, you receive a Quality check completed notification. Depending on your notification preferences, you can receive the notification both in-app and by email.
-
Select the Quality check completed notification to view the generated suggestions.
- Expand each suggestion and update its status based on your progress: To do, In work, or Done.
- If you want to implement a suggestion, select Add to Requirement. This changes the suggestion status to In Work. You can leave it as it is or mark it as Done.
- If desired, select Remove to delete the suggestion from the list.
- To generate more suggestions for the requirement, select Suggest More.
Note:
Alternatively, use Regenerate to recreate suggestions using different supporting documents or additional guidance.
- To save the suggestions, select Export to Word.
Autopilot generates a maximum of 50 suggestions per evaluation, or 15 by default if you don't specify a number. For more detail, refer to Best practices and limitations.
